Love yourself

Inner healing starts with forgiving yourself

If you have made it this far in exploring my page, it‘s purpose is fulfilled. I hope this helps you along your journey and when you begin to reflect on what hurts you. Don't forget. Inner healing starts with forgiving yourself.

Finding your beauty within

I’m not proud of who I used to be, but I’m incredibly proud of who I’ve become. Since choosing sobriety, a flower has blossomed within me, symbolizing my growth. I am stronger now than I’ve ever been.

Admitting to my Chaos

When I think back to the days when I drank alcohol, my life felt overwhelming, depressing, and chaotic. In 2022, I met Ben. He was nearly a year sober and on a journey to rediscover himself. Ben was the first man to truly treat me with respect and kindness, making me feel valued as a woman. That was my turning point. I realized that my selfish behaviors had to come to an end.

So here I am, sharing my story with you: It is possible! Have faith in yourself and know that change is within reach. You are stronger than you think, and your journey to healing can begin today.

Expressing the beauty within

Journaling has become a cornerstone of my healing journey. I write in my planner, pour my thoughts into my journal, and even record my daily workouts. These habits allow me to reflect on my progress, celebrate milestones, and stay connected to the beauty of growth.

Write it out, let it out

Quitting a bad habit can feel impossible, but once you start connecting with your best self, you’ve already made it. I began journaling during a time when I felt torn between what I knew was right and wrong. My journal became a safe space where I could be completely honest with myself, free from judgment.

Now, when I get the urge to write in my leather journal, it’s often to express gratitude. I’m thankful for the chance to live a better life and to continue growing every day.

Embracing your beauty within

Breathing is key. Inhale for four seconds, hold it, then exhale and let go. Feel your stomach and chest rise and fall. If you’re new to this, sitting still with your eyes closed can feel challenging. You might even wonder if you’re doing it right. If it helps, try recording yourself on your phone. Sometimes, pretending to act on it is all you need to realize you’re already doing it.

I started practicing meditation after reading Ayurveda: The Science of Self-Healing by Dr. V. Lad. This eye-opening book, passed down from my grandmother, changed my life. It introduced me to the concept of a Tri-Dosha personality, which fosters happiness, health, and creative growth. Meditation has since become a grounding practice, helping me embrace the beauty within myself.

Releasing the negative

First things first, I have successful days when I'm in a routine with exercising. Wake up, drink water, pray, sauna, stretch, and workout. Repeat.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

"Thank you for giving me the opportunity of life. Continue to guide me with strength and courage to do what is right in your will. Give me the power to walk in confidence and lead by example.

I ask of you to shine your Holy light on my dad. Give him the strength he needs to recover. Heal his lungs and let this be a smooth recovery."

After two and a half weeks of constant visits to the hospital, my father passed away on December 10th, 2024. As his daughter, I was not prepared for this turn of events. During this time, I did my best to gather all the necessary information to ensure everything was taken care of. Taking on the responsibility of managing his personal affairs has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life. While it’s been an honor to handle these matters on his behalf, it has also been emotionally overwhelming.

My prayer has given me the strength to get through this and I know my dad is proud of me.
